The Chinese Embassy invited Alvarez-Ossorio Miller & Co. to a concert in celebration of Chinese New Year
Last Monday, 11th of February of 2013, Ms. Raquel García-Argudo Mendes, Director of the Asian Desk at Álvarez-Ossorio Miller & Co. attended on behalf of the Firm, together with Ms. Carolina Yuanzhe Wang, Chinese collaborator at the Firm’s Asian Desk, to the concert celebrating Chinese New Year organised by the Chinese Embassy in Madrid. The concert took place in the Chinese Cultural Centre that the Chinese Government opened a few months back in Madrid to diffuse the study and knowledge of the Chinese language in Madrid.
The Forbidden City Chamber Orchestra interpreted diverse pieces of traditional Chinese music and performed various “solos” on traditional Chinese instruments such as the Pipe, Erhu and Dizi.
To follow there was catering to which important representatives of Chinese-Spanish Relations attended, where both the Director of the Asian Desk at Álvarez-Ossorio Miller & Co. and the Firm’s Chinese collaborator, were able to share the evening with authorities, businesspeople, diplomats… from both China and Spain.
